I had the priviledge of donning a hard hat, wellies and high viz vest today and taking a look around the foundations of what is quickly developing into a truly amazing venue. Thirsk Lodge Barns is situated a stones throw away from the picturesque market town of Thirsk, and its clear to see how the vision of a truly remarkable destination venue is coming to life.
Scheduled to open next summer as predominantly a wedding venue, the layout, design and different barn areas feel spacious and relaxed. There is a high level of attention to detail in place, with plenty of room for couples to decorate and make areas personal to them and their special day. The design of the barns and build have been carefully planned with a fantasic flow between all areas. Ive also had a look at the ceremony area which when finished will be quite magical with wooden beams and fairy lights as a feature. It will hold a maximum of around 120 for a ceremony, but you could easily have a smaller wedding here and not feel it was too big a space. Original features are being kept wherever possible and Thirsk Lodge Barns is one of these quite special places that you could be themed as formal, elegant, rustic, boho or alternative. It has a feel that it can be whatever you want it to be, and it would deliver ever time!
